Payment information

Online donations on this site are processed by Razorpay in Indian Rupees.

Payment methods

UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and other UPI apps), debit and credit cards, netbanking and wallets, as offered by Razorpay at the time of payment. Some fundraiser pages also show the Trust's UPI QR code and bank details for direct transfers.

What happens when you donate

  1. You choose an amount and enter your name and mobile number. The Trust's server creates a Razorpay order for exactly that amount.
  2. The Razorpay window collects your payment details. Those details go to Razorpay only; this site never sees or stores card numbers or UPI PINs.
  3. After payment, the Trust's server verifies Razorpay's signature before the donation is recorded. Razorpay also notifies the server directly, so a donation is recorded even if your browser closes early.
  4. A receipt page opens with the payment ID, order ID and amount. You can download it as a file. If a receipt by SMS or email is enabled for this site, it is sent to the details you entered.

What is stored

The donation amount, date, fundraiser, Razorpay payment and order IDs, payment method, status, and the name, mobile number and optional email you provided. See the privacy policy.

Receipts and tax

The receipt is an acknowledgement of a voluntary contribution. It is not a certificate under Section 80G of the Income-tax Act unless the Trust separately issues one. Please ask the Trust before claiming any tax benefit.
