Privacy policy

This site (asahuman.life) is run by As a Human Trust. This page explains what personal information the site collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• When you donate online: your name, mobile number, the amount, the fundraiser you supported and an optional email address. Payment is processed by Razorpay, which collects your card, UPI or bank details directly. We receive the payment ID, order ID, status, payment method and the contact details you enter in the Razorpay window. We never see or store full card numbers.
• When a fundraiser asks you to verify your mobile number: the number you enter and a one-time code. The code is stored only as a salted hash and expires in five minutes. After verification a cookie keeps you signed in on this device for 30 days.
• When you post a message of support: the name, optional city and message you type. These are shown publicly on the fundraiser page.
• When you contact us: your name, email or phone number, subject and message.
• Automatically: standard server logs with your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, kept for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

• To record your donation, show it on the fundraiser page (unless you chose to hide your name) and give you a receipt.
• To send a receipt by SMS or email when those services are switched on for this site.
• To answer your messages and to detect and prevent abuse, fraud and spam.
• To keep the records that Indian accounting and tax rules require a charitable trust to keep.

Cookies

The site uses only strictly necessary cookies: a security token for forms, a sign-in cookie for the Trust's staff, and the 30-day donor verification cookie described above. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics scripts.

Who we share it with

Razorpay Software Private Limited processes payments under its own privacy policy. When SMS or email receipts are enabled, the message provider receives your mobile number or email address for delivery. The site is hosted on servers rented from Hostinger. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

• Tick Hide my name on this page while donating to appear as an anonymous supporter.
• Email support@asahuman.life to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Donation records needed for accounts and tax filings are kept for the period the law requires.
